Judith Ann Schneider, 73 of Bayles Lake, Loda, passed away at 7:07 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 309 Hickory Street, Loda with Father Nestor Sanchez officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.

Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton. The Rosary will be Friday before the visitation beginning at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Judy was born December 1, 1949, in Paxton a daughter of Richard and Gwendolyn Walker Thilmony.  She married Daniel Schneider on June 27, 1970 in Loda.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Dan, she is survived by three daughters, Stacy (Mike) Kamigaki of Mead, Colorado, Kimberly (Aaron) Savincki of Brookhaven, Georgia and Mindy (Travis) Duley of Loda; a sister, Janet Quindry of Paxton; seven grandchildren, Cami and Taylor Kamigaki, Peyton and Luke Savincki and Caden, Mason and Kennedy Duley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Judy graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1967.  She attended Southern Illinois University for one year and graduated from Illinois Commercial College.  Judy was secretary at the Loda Grade School and PBL Eastlawn for 24 years and retired in 2012.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph CCW.  Judy was also a member of the Bayles Lake Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Gibson Area Hospital.

Judy was an avid Fighting Illini and Chicago Cubs fan.  She enjoyed reading, playing cards and traveling.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
