Judith Ann “Judy” Shreves, 83 of Rantoul, passed away at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A private family burial will be held in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judy was born March 16, 1943, in Urbana the daughter of Clifford and Marjorie Postle Thurman. She married Robert Shreves February 16, 1963, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Thomasboro. He survives.

Along with her husband, Bob, she is survived by a son, Scott (Stacey Jewett) Shreves of Bloomington; a daughter Sheri (Danny) Sage of Rantoul; six grandchildren, Austin (Jeni) Shreves, Brad (Kendal) Shreves, Trent (Ellen) Sage, Clayton (Danielle) Sage, Chesleigh (Rodney) Kaeb, Morgan Shreves; four great grandchildren, Adelyn, Kason, Emersyn, Katelyn; one brother John (Lorrie) Lux of Thomasboro; a sister-in-law, Marlene (Rick) Goben of Loda and eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather, Henry Lux; and two brothers, Gene and Kenny Thurman.

Judy graduated from Rantoul Twp. High School in 1961. She worked for Your Flower Shop and Deena’s Style Shop in Rantoul for a number of years and retired in 1998 from the Bank of Rantoul. She was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, Rantoul.
