June "Joan" Ross, 90 of Paxton, died at 8:26 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living.

A private graveside service will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.  Baier Family Funeral Service, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Joan was born July 2, 1935, in rural Ludlow, the daughter of Henry M. and Lena Hoover Johnson.  She married Malcolm K. Ross May 8, 1955.  He preceded her in death May 6, 2015.

She is survived by two sons, Ron (Tammy) Ross and Scott Ross, both of Paxton; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one sister, Donna Craft of Florida and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eight siblings.

Joan graduated from Paxton High School in 1953 and went on to attend beauty school.  She worked as a beautician for several years then worked at Andrews Lumber Yard, Paxton for a number of years.  She later became a Civil Service employee and was a secretary at Chanute Air Force Base, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of the Paxton Church of Christ.  Joan enjoyed cooking and baking.
