Justin Jacob Benton, 29, of Mahomet; formerly of Paxton and Champaign, died at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.  A private family committal service will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Justin was born April 8, 1993, in Urbana the son of Jerome and Anna Robinson Benton.

He is survived by his mother, Anna Benton of Mahomet; his father and step-mother, Jerome and Jamie Benton of New London, Missouri; a son, Ayden and daughter, Haven; four sisters, Jessucha Benton of New London, Missouri, Angela Stark of Riverview, Florida, Shirley (Craig) Royer of Shawnee, Kansas, Susan (Jason) Wollum of Lenexa, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Leslie and Jeanette Benton of Saukville, Wisconsin; step sisters, Kelcie (Jerid) Huff, Madisen (Michael Kamrowski) Blumer; nephew, Xander; two nieces, Emma and Graceland, and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Stark and his maternal grandparents.

Justin graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 2011.  He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service on North Mattis, Champaign.

He enjoyed working with dogs, renovation work, shooting, and hanging out and vacationing with his many friends.  He loved working out and keeping in shape.  Justin cherished his children and looked forward to spending time with them.
