Keegynn Leann Martinek, 17, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the PBL High School gymnasium. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.
A private family funeral service will be held followed by burial in Willowbrook Cemetery, Fisher.
Keegynn was born March 30, 2006 in Urbana the daughter of Paul J. and Crystal Lee Shook Martinek, Jr.
She is survived by her parents, Paul and Crystal Martinek, Jr. of Paxton; sister, Jadynn Martinek of Paxton; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Paul (Janel Henderson) Martinek, Sr. of Belize; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Sandra (Kevin) Qualters of Loda; maternal grandparents, Craig and Kathy Crooks of Fisher; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jillyan Martinek.
Keegynn was an incoming PBL High School Senior. She was a Top Star Cheerleader and a former PBL Cheerleader. Keegynn enjoyed cheer, being a gymnastics coach, hiking, and shopping. She also enjoyed taking mini trips and riding four wheelers with her best friend/boyfriend, love of her life, Joe, the other half of the Keegynn and Joe Club. They were inseparable. Keegan loved animals especially their dog, Layla and aspired to one day become a veterinarian. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with both her family and Joe's family.
