We are saddened to announce the death of LaDonna Maria (Seed) Machalek, age 52, of
Champaign, IL on July 1, 2023.

LaDonna was born on April 25, 1971 in Urbana, IL to the Pastor John R. Seed and Mabel Ilene (Schemerhorn) Seed.

She was a 1989 graduate of Herscher High School.  LaDonna was an avid animal lover and had many beloved pets over the years.

She was the youngest of nine children, and she will be greatly missed by her siblings. She was
preceded in death by her long-time Partner Steve Tallon.  LaDonna is survived by her siblings
Cyndy (Nick) Blanchard, John Richard Seed Jr., Rochelle (Jon) Bouse, Bob (Kathy) Seed, Tom
(Pam) Seed, Dan Seed, Mike (Jackie) Seed, Lynn DeMarco, and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on July 22, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery, Springfield IL
with only family present.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a
donation to Hospice Hearts, a pet rescue organization in Urbana IL, at
