Larry Shane "Cotton" Jensen, 82, of Paxton passed away at 7:10 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. Robert Freeman officiating.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Larry was born December 19, 1935 in Gibson City the son of Harry and Beulah Hansen Jensen. He married Carolyn Lowery October 6, 1962 at the Gibson City United Methodist Church. She survives.

Along with his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by; one daughter, Kelle (Todd) Whitaker of Melvin; one son, Shane (Tammy) Jensen of Paxton; four grandchildren, Blake (Jeanna) Swanson, Caleb Whitaker, Kirsten Jensen, Macee Jensen; two great grandchildren, Maxwell Swanson and Rory Whitaker; one brother, Jim (Darlene) Jensen of Monticello; and one sister, Shirley Dean of Gibson City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Jensen.

Larry served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of the Rantoul VFW Gung Ho Post 6750 and the First United Methodist Church, Paxton.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, University of Illinois Sports, Packer football, listening to country music and watching westerns.
