Larry Allen Pilcher, 84 of Paxton, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Pat Allin officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be before the service from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Larry was born October 22, 1938, in Loda the son of Rhoda and Leona Dodd Pilcher.  He married Roberta "Bobbie" Henderson November 26, 1959, at the Loda United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; one son, Todd Pilcher of Zionsville, Indiana; one daughter, Connie (Steve) Sanders of Washburn; five grandchildren, Megan (Robert) Deatherage, Marcus (Samantha) Sanders, Jack Pilcher, Ava Pilcher, Eli Pilcher; four great grandchildren, Judah, Harlow, Weston and Maddie. He is also survived by two sisters, Rheta (Don) Brinegar of Paxton and Marge (Terry) Beland of Paxton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry graduated from Paxton High School in 1956 and attended Illinois State University.  He served in the Army National Guard 1958-64.  He worked for Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative as a lineman and later as an Engineering Technician and retired in 1997.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Paxton.  He was also a member of the Hen House Coffee Club and the Dog Club.  Larry enjoyed hunting, golfing and flower gardening.  His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
