Larry William Sexton, 76, of Paxton passed away at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living.
Masonic services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Pueblo Lindo Event Center, 615 N. Railroad, Paxton. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda at a later date.
Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Pueblo Lindo Event Center.
Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Larry was born July 4, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Robert William and Betty Ruth Mueller Sexton. He married Debra Coulter on April 19, 1985 at the Bridal Cave, Camdenton, Missouri. She survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Deana Lynn (Nick) Hornbeck of Pontiac, Kevin Michael Sexton of Paxton, Larry Christopher "Chris" Sexton of Pekin, Dillon Adam Sexton of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Xena Hornbeck, Xane Hornbeck, Trace Storke, Kaitlynn Nichols, Alexia Hornbeck, Zoey Minick, Shelby Jackson, Cameron Sexton, Trey Sexton; six great grandchildren, Taylyn Kruger, D.J. Nichols, CeCe Nichols, Pinnelopie Jackson, Norah Jackson, Grayson Daniels; a sister, Susan (Steve Phillips) Sexton of St. Louis, MO; and a brother, Rick (Penny) Drey of Stockbridge, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry graduated from Hazelwood High School, St. Louis. He was a truck driver for Mendenhall Rebuilders a Ford remanufacturing plant in St. Louis and farmed with family in the Paxton area since 1990. Larry was a member of the Paxton Masonic Lodge #416 A.F&A.M.
In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and tinkering in the garage on various projects. Larry loved watching the History Channel. His greatest joy of all was spending time with his family.
