Lillian "Marie" Weckhorst, 87 of Paxton, died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday,  April 5, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be prior to the funeral service from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillian was born November 22, 1935, in Alma the daughter of George and Edith C. Aldrich Doudera.  She married Donald O. Weckhorst April 2, 1955, in Alma.  He preceded her in death June 13, 2015.

She is survived by three sons, Colonel Donald C. (Karen) Weckhorst of Alaska, David G. (Lynn) Weckhorst of Champaign, Dale A. (Patty) Weckhorst of Lemont; seven grandchildren Daniel, Rachel, William, Aaron, Jessica, Sara and Allen; six great grandchildren, Ian, Lucas, Sophia Adriana, Keanu and Georgiana; and one brother, George Doudera of Washington, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Marie attended Alma Greenridge Country School and graduated from Kinmundy High School.  She was a sales clerk at Chanute Air Force Base Exchange from 1982-1990 and in 1991 became the manager of the Brookhill Golf Course snack bar.

She was a member of the Paxton United Methodist Church.

Marie enjoyed bowling and was captain of her bowling team several years and also enjoyed playing bingo.
