Lloyd W. Lustfeldt, 92, of Buckley passed away at 3:50 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth after a short illness.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Del Rey Cemetery. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lloyd was born May 2, 1932 in Buckley the son of Wilbur and Wilma Bleich Lustfeldt. He married Mary Lindsay on June 28, 1955 at the Missouri Synod Lutheran Chapel in Champaign. She survives.

Along with his wife, Mary, he is survived by two daughters, Kathryn (Roger) Hethke of Thawville, Sandra (Fred) Bauer of Cissna Park; a son, Steven (Meg) Lustfeldt of Thawville; eight grandchildren, Kevin Hethke, Keith (Ashley) Hethke, Amanda (Travis) Bauer Johnson, Marc (Rachel) Bauer, Christine (Dustin) Lustfeldt Enright, Lindsay (Brian Kaeding) Lustfeldt, Levi (Roxanne) Lustfeldt, Luke (Trisha) Lustfeldt; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great granddaughter, Leni J. Hethke; and a sister, Phyllis Ecker.

Lloyd graduated from Buckley High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army and after completing basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri he was stationed at Beale AFB in California in Company B Heavy Equipment Engineers and was a Tractor-Scraper Operator until his discharge and return to Buckley to farm. He farmed in the Buckley and Onarga area and raised cattle and hogs for many years.

Lloyd was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432. He and Mary spent their retirement traveling on their Honda Gold Wing across the U.S. and in later years, wintered in Arizona.
