Obituary

Lois D. Krumwiede, 87, of Buckley, died at 7:27 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018, at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Buckley. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, August 27, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.

Lois was born August 13, 1931 in Buckley the daughter of William and Esther Ecker Janssen. She married Delmar A. Krumwiede June 21, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He preceded her in death October 29, 1994.

She is survived by five children, Diane Doyle of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Bill Krumwiede of Buckley, Donna (Ron) Courtright of Melvin, Darlene (Tim) McCoy of Alexandria, Virginia, Tim (Lisa) Krumwiede of Itasca; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four sisters fondly known as the "Aunt Hill", Marilyn Niemann of Buckley, Lillian Cluver of Cissna Park, Carolyn Teske of Cissna Park and Fern Stasiak of Tinley Park.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a son-in-law, Don Doyle.

Lois graduated from Buckley High School in 1949. She was a seamstress for many years having worked at the National Glove Factory in Gibson City, the Gilman Dress Factory and Bell Sports in Rantoul. One of the highlights of her job at Bell Sports was making racing uniforms for the Andretti's and Richard Petty and having the opportunity to meet them.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. John's Ladies Aid and very active with Lutheran World Relief quilting. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing on Saturday nights. Her hobbies included sewing, baking and gardening.
