Madeleine B. Sandford, 80, of Loda passed away at 12:00 Noon Sunday, October 30, 2022 at her home.

Services will be held at a later date. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Madeleine was born December 22, 1941 in Rock Forest, Quebec, Canada the daughter of Edouard and Simonne Blanchet Bergeron. She married John Robert

"Jack" Sandford March 21, 1981 in Auburn, New Hampshire. He preceded her in death August 28, 2014.

She is survived by two brothers, Yvon (Monique) Bergeron of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Robert (Therese) Bergeron of Sherbrooke, Quebec; six sisters, Henriette (Paul Andre Lacasse) Bergeron of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Francine Bergeron of Coldstream, British Columbia, Claire Bergeron of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Louise Bergeron of Gatineau, Quebec, Evelyn (Guy) Lessard of Levis, Quebec, Suzanne (Jean Yves) Chevalier of Bainsville, Ontario; sister-in-law, Monique Belanger of Sherbrooke, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; four brothers, Aurel Bergeron, Gerald Bergeron, Roch Bergeron, Camille Bergeron; and one sister, Lina Bussiere.

Madeleine was of the Catholic faith. She worked at Gibson Area Hospital as a secretary for 20 years and Walmart in Rantoul for 15 years. Madeleine liked to crochet and work on jigsaw puzzles. She loved gardening, plants and politics.
