Margie D. Wagner Hendershott, 94, of Paxton passed away at 4:20 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Margie was born January 16, 1928 in Buckley the daughter of Ray and Margaret Davis Wagner.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Elmer) Kief, Lana Custer, Liza (Ron) Vaughn, Michael (Becky) Hendershott, Marla (Greg) Logan; 15 grandchildren, Dane (Emily), Shelby (Ashley), Brook (Ryan), John, Colten, Rick, Clarissa, Jessie, Josey (Kelsie), Casey (Romel), Chelsea (Skylar), Hawaii, Lane (Jared), Mariah (Max), Michael; 24 great grandchildren, Evynn, Remi, Reed, Paige (Cody), Audrey, Kynlyn, Lane, Walker, Jozey, Vaughn, Aleeka (Payton), Ariana, Landon, Taylor, Josie, Reese, Charlotte, Rebel, Mason, Lauryl Braden, Madison, Harper, Riley; and two great-great grandchildren, Ella and Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeannie Emery (George); and brother, Wilfred Wagner (Doris).

Margie graduated from Loda High School. She worked for 24 years in the Traffic Management Branch at Chanute Air Force Base in Civil Service. Margie was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Paxton for 62 years (1960-2022) as well as the Smokin' Fingers Quilting Group at the church.

She loved sewing, gardening and flowers, especially sunflowers. Margie loved visiting with her grandchildren, going to their ball games, making sock monkeys and watching the St. Louis Cardinals on tv.
