Marilyn Joyce Fields, 90 of Paxton, died at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Paxton Church of Christ, 400 Ottawa Rd., Paxton with Pastor Kevin Heiser officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, at the Paxton Church of Christ.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Marilyn was born August 26, 1935, in Paxton the daughter of Glenn and Hazel Mae Burt Kaiser.  She married Leslie Eugene Fields June 29, 1957, at the Paxton Church of Christ.  He preceded her in death March 12, 1999.

She is survived by a son, Darwin (Yoshiko) Fields of Urbana; a daughter, Shirley (Carl) Henley of Southlake, Texas; two grandchildren Ross and Chase Henley, and a sister Patricia Jones of Highlands Ranch, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glenn L. Kaiser.

Marilyn graduated from Paxton High School.  She was a cook at the Clara Peterson and West Lawn schools before retiring in 2010.

Marilyn was an active member of the Paxton Church of Christ where she had been a first grade Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed keeping busy with quilting, sewing, arts & crafts, gardening and walking.
