Mark M. Manley, 69 of Paxton, passed away January 11, 2023, at Gibson Area Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.

Mark was born November 6, 1953, in Decatur, the son of Kenneth and Ramona Hays Manley.  He married Jill Shorb in 1976 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Decatur.

Along with his wife, Jill, he is survived by one son, Paul Manley of Illinois; one daughter, Erica Manley of Washington State; a grandson, Parker Manley of Illinois and a sister, Mary Manley of Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike Manley.

Mark graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in Decatur and from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology.  He was employed by the Paxton School District before his employment with Rogers Chevrolet and other auto service dealerships in the area for 35 years.

He enjoyed drag racing his '68 Camaro, classic rock, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers, playing pinball and anything to do with cars.
