Marvin E. Knieriem, 72 of Roberts, died at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Tinley Park with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Marvin was born January 26, 1949 in Blue Island, Illinois the son of Elmer M. and Florence L. Schade Knieriem.

He is survived by his brother Bob Knieriem of Roberts and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Marvin graduated from Carl Sandburg High School, Orland Park. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a mailman working out of the Tinley Park Post Office. After his retirement, he moved to the farm in Roberts.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and the postal union. Marvin was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed reading the newspaper and keeping up with current news. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting.
