Maureen Emily (Marrison) Worthingon, 86, of Rantoul passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2022.

Maureen was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England on March 7, 1935. She was the daughter of Henry and Kathleen Phoebe (Kiddell) Marrison. She was the youngest and last surviving child of 12 brothers and sisters.

She married Roy O. Worthington, Jr. on October 29, 1955 in Norwich, England. She came to the United States of America in 1957 where she spent the rest of her life.

Maureen "Mo" was very proud to tell everyone she was an American citizen as she tested and pledged to stand proud for her new country with her citizenship before a judge of the U.S. Courts.

Most of all, Maureen would always tell everyone how proud she was of all her children and family. She never missed an opportunity to attend each and every one of their special milestones or give them a hug and a kiss, then tell them how much she loved them.

Maureen and Roy had six children, Charlyene (Gary) Hein of Loda, Koleen (Jeffrey) Roseman of Rantoul, Cher (Doug) Sanderson of Paxton, Kimberly Worthington (deceased), Tony (Patricia) Worthington of Rantoul, and Joleen (Larry) Collins of Rantoul.

She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, Ben (Erin) Hein, George (Kindra) Hein, Cory (Tena) Roseman, Case (Kara) Roseman, Clint (Sara) Anderson, Lacie (Branden) Keen, Cody (Jenna) Anderson, Tana (Sean) Davis, Jay (Heather) Bohlen, Genevieve Anderson, Marrison (Joseph) Biel, Ryne (Christina) Worthington, Grace Collins and Mia Collins.

In addition, she is survived by her 21 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kaydence, Louie, Case and Morgan Hein, Nolan, Madelyn, Josie, Chasen and Hunter Roseman, Anderson Keen, Delanie and Wesson Anderson, Emily and Isla Davis, Jaelynn Foster, Skye Reynolds, Grason and Brileigh Bohlen and Braunwyn Biel.

Maureen managed the Dairy Queen in Rantoul for more than 35 years. No matter where she would go, you could always count on her seeing "one of her kids" from the "DQ"! She was always very grateful to the owners, John and Barbara Bonacorsi, for believing in her all those years.

Everyone who knew "Mo" or "Grandma Mo" would always expect to receive a hug from her. Even if she did not know you, she would give you a hug if she felt you needed one! In addition to her family, her church family at Christian Life Church in Rantoul was extremely important to her. She was one of the founding members of the church. Mo would always tell everyone how her mentor, the late Pastor John Bonacorsi, helped her thru life's struggles. She taught her family the order of life was to put God first in your heart, your family second, your job third so you can support your family and then your church. She lived by these words and held true to their order. Most of all, her love for Jesus will give her family strength to move forward and continue to share her love and his teachings.

She was always known for her handmade and heartfelt crafts. She has crocheted, sewed and knitted for so many who will now cherish her gifts.

Her family will tell you how she always made each and every one of them feel like they were her favorite. She loved them all so much and made sure they knew how much they meant to her. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held later this spring at the Christian Life Church in Rantoul. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Christian Life Church as they continue to minister the love of Jesus.
