Maurice W. Seggebruch, 87 of Buckley, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at Clark-Lindsey Meadowbrook Healthcare Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley with military honors accorded by the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday also at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is assisting the family with arrangements.

Maurice was born June 28, 1934, in Cissna Park the son of William and Mabel Ristow Seggebruch.

He graduated from Buckley High School. Maurie proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.  He retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Maurice is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Brent) Burr of Champaign and two grandchildren, Bailee and Blake Burr.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432 and a former member of the Buckley Sportsman's Club and a former Buckley Fire Department volunteer.  Maurie was an avid Chicago Cubs and Buckley Dutchmasters fan. He enjoyed golfing and wintering in South Padre Island, Texas.  His greatest joy was spending time with his two grandchildren.
