Neva L. Janssen, 91 of Buckley, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.

Neva was born July 14, 1930, in Buckley the daughter of Leo and Lorine A. Weerts Kaufmann.  She married Clinton E. Janssen October 23, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.  He preceded her in death April 9, 2001.

She is survived by one son, Samuel J. (Kim) Janssen of Rochester, Illinois; one grandson, Eric (Jessica) Janssen; one granddaughter, Kelli Janssen Ward; two great grandchildren, Aiden and Mackenna; one brother, Merrill (Ev) Kaufmann of Colorado; and two nieces, Kris and Kathy.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Neva attended St. John's Lutheran School, Buckley and graduated from Buckley High School in 1948.  She had been employed by Bear Brand Hosiery, Paxton and the lumber yards in Buckley, Paxton and Cissna Park.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.  Neva enjoyed camping and traveling and loved to work with flowers.
