Owen Earl "Whitey or O.T." Theesfeld, 79, of Buckley passed away at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Paxton Church of Christ, 400 W Ottawa, Paxton with Pastor Marcus McCollum.
Visitation will be two hours before the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the church. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is assisting the family with arrangements.
Owen was born December 29, 1944 in Paxton the son of Werner Fredrick George and Lillian A. Johnson Theesfeld. He married Mary Floyd Wright on June 4, 1965 in Buckley. She survives.
Along with his wife, Mary, he is survived by two daughters, Martha Ann "Marty" (Michael) Adkins of Buckley, Emily Louise (Kevin Chipman) Souva of Rantoul; three grandchildren, Tyler Adkins, Tanner Adkins, Siera Chipman; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Everrett Adkins; step-granddaughter, Callie Barger; two step-great grandchildren, Brixton and Phoenix; sister, Eileen Hoke of Buckley; brother, James "Jim" (Lois) Theesfeld of Cissna Park; seven sisters-in-law, Velma Phillips of Gilman, Linda Wright of Paxton, Julia (Don) Knuth of Loda, Evelyn (Ron) Shunk of Bayles Lake, Loda, Dorothy Wright of Paxton, Margaret (Neil) Lohrman of Paxton, Lynn Jeannine (Wes) Smith of Paxton; two brothers-in-law, Jim Wright of Paxton, Joseph (Linda Lou) Wright of Rankin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, John Frederick Theesfeld.
O.T. was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Paxton.
O.T. enjoyed mowing and bowling. He was an avid sports enthusiast and looked forward to watching or listening to the Chicago Cubs and Illini games. O.T. loved spending time with family.
