Pablo Herrera, III, 49 of Champaign, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton.

Pablo was born November 12, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas the son of Victor and Blanche Cavazos Vasquez, Sr. He married Lisa Moore February 28, 2008 in Champaign. She survives.

Along with his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his mother, Blanche Vasquez of Champaign; one brother, Victor (Crystal) Vasquez, Jr. of Buckley; sister, Melissa (Rob) Pierceall of Bethany; three step-children, Kenneth Truelove, Kody Truelove, Kyle Truelove; five grandchildren; step brother, Marvin (Nicole) Robinson of Century, West Virginia; three nieces, Skyler (Lily) Evangelista, Olivia King, Alexis Marie Robinson; nephew, Matteo Vasquez; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor, maternal and paternal grandparents and one sister, Stephanie Marie Vasquez.

Pablo spent his childhood in San Antonio, Texas before moving to Watseka, Illinois in 1986. He later moved to Rantoul and Champaign-Urbana. He graduated from Watseka Community High School in 1992 and was a taxi driver for many years.

Pablo was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping. He loved spending time with his family and his best friend, his dog, Carlos.
