Patty J. "Pat" DeHeer, 89 of Paxton, died at 5:04 p.m. Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Gilman Health Care, Gilman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Pat Allin officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, at the funeral home.

Patty was born December 31, 1935, in Appanoose County, Iowa the daughter of Miles R. and Charlotte Marietta Hansen Taylor.  She married Henry DeHeer January 1, 1954, at the Rankin United Methodist Church.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Henry, she is survived by a brother, Billy (Nancy) Taylor of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack A. Taylor, sister, Charlotte Milene Wells and her adopted sister, Dawn Marie Coker.

Patty was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Paxton.  She was also a very active member of the Prospect Chapter No. 367 O.E.S., and a member of Daughters of the Nile.

Pat and Henry's lives revolved around the Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.  She was very dedicated to Henry, her husband of almost 72 years.
