Pauline Rasmus, 94 of Paxton passed away at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton. Private family graveside services will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton with Rev. John Hauck officiating.

Pauline was born February 25, 1927 in McLean County, Kentucky the daughter of James and Marie Hickerson Forbes. She married Philip R. Rasmus May 21, 1948 in Harvey, Illinois. He preceded her in death May 11, 1991.

She is survived by son, Bill (Shirley) Rasmus of Peyton, Colorado; daughter, Sandy (Robert) Bantz of Mahomet; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip Rasmus, and son Terry Shane Rasmus.

Pauline was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed genealogy and would travel to libraries, courthouses and cemeteries for research. Pauline loved to sew, especially quilting and made numerous quilts. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
