Predrag "Mitch" Roncevich, 89 of Paxton, died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, 5701 N. Redwood Drive, Chicago with Father Nedelko Lunic officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, Libertyville.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 22, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton.

Mr. Roncevich was born on March 23, 1929 in Kisac, Yugoslavia, the son of Damjan and Stana Askrabic Roncevich. He married Teresa Palovsnik on August 28, 1963 in Chicago. She preceded him in death December 4, 2016.

He is survived by two sons, Dimitrije Roncevich of Paxton and Damjan Roncevich of Honolulu, Hawaii; one daughter, Ursula Roncevich (Brian Frichtl) of Paxton; two grandchildren, Teresa Jean and Wyatt and two sisters-in-law, Dragica Roncevich and Milica Roncevich.

Mr. Roncevich was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Jelena and Leposava; four brothers, Dimitrije, Milorad, Stevan and Radovan.

Mr. Roncevich was a retired real estate broker and a former supervisor at the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank. He was a trustee for Duchich Educational Trust for over 40 years. The Trust granted college scholarships and financed projects that promoted Serbian culture and history through education. He was a member of the Serbian Orthodox church. Mr. Roncevich served in the English Army 1955-56. He studied pre-med at the University of Ljubljana and mathematics at both Northwestern University and the University of Illinois, Chicago.

His hobbies and interests included world and local politics, investing and especially enjoyed attending auctions.
