Rebecca Lynn "Beccy" McNew, 68, of Gilman, formerly of Paxton passed away at 11:16 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rebecca was born August 16, 1957 in Urbana the daughter of Lemuel and Madonna Flesner McDonald. She married Chris McNew on June 1, 2019 in Paxton. He survives.

Along with her husband, Chris, she is survived by a daughter Korey Keenan of Mahomet; stepchildren, Jason (Laura) McNew of Grants Pass, Oregon, Krisana (Nate Frary) McNew of Windsor, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Emma Keenan, Kailey Garren, Keaton Garren, Kale Frary, Carter Frary, Addy Frary, and Isiah McNew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rachael Garren; sister, Cindy McDonald and a brother, Mark McDonald.

Beccy worked at Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors, Rantoul where she was a group leader, retiring after 42 years. She was an avid gardener and hiker. Most of all Beccy loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
