Richard Dean Bishop, Jr., 58 of Rantoul, passed away at 4:17 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Pastor Josh Hopkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Lyman Twp. Cemetery, Roberts.

Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Rich was born January 12, 1964, in Gibson City the son of Richard Dean and June Eileen Mills Bishop.  He married Wendy Kintner February 12, 1992.

He is survived by one son, Richard Dean Bishop, III of Veedersburg, Indiana; one daughter Chasidy Kintner of Veedersburg, Indiana; one granddaughter, Lela Kintner; his mother and stepfather June (Bud) Otto of Roberts; one brother Timothy (Katina) Bishop of Paxton; two sisters, Laura Hicks of Fisher and Christina (Eric) White of Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Rich graduated from Ford Central High School in 1982.  He was a grain elevator manager and was currently employed by Ludlow Co-Op Elevator Company.

He enjoyed fishing and working.  He was an animal lover and was very fond of his cats.  His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter.
