Robert David Knell, 63 of Paxton, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at his home.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.  A private family burial will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton at a later date.

He was born to Clifford C. Knell and Mary Agnes (McCabe) Knell-Deason on February 19, 1960, at Paxton Hospital.

Robert attended Paxton schools where he played football in high school and graduated from there in 1978.

He served in the United States Army for three years and held various jobs including Paxton IGA.  He also got involved with the Monster Truck Circuit through his cousin, Tom Meents, and drove the nWo and the Bulldozer monster trucks.

Robert leaves behind a son, Zachary R. Knell of Wisconsin, daughters Kaleigh M.  Knell-Haffele of Wisconsin and Chelsea R. Knell of Freeport; three grandchildren and his former wife, Jan Wolter.  He also leaves behind sisters, Stacie Barringer of Cissna Park, Mo Knell of Gifford; two nephews; four aunts and several cousins and good friends.
