Robert Herman Sonne, 63 of Paxton, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.

Burial will be at a later date at Elliott Cemetery, Elliott.

Robert was born June 1, 1957 in Bermuda the son of Robert Sonne, Sr. and Billie Jean Logan. He graduated from Clifton High School. He was a motorcycle mechanic having worked for Mid-State Cycles and Rudy Stout, Paxton before his retirement.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carolyn Brown of Paxton; one son, Jeremy Robert Meier of Wylie, Texas; and his dogs, Sammy and Pepe. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert loved working on motorcycles and was known as the best mechanic in the tri-state area. He was a devout Christian, had a kind and caring heart and was a gentle man. He was always willing to help others and had the ability to fix anything. Robert was a proud and faithful American, a constitutionalist, and believed in individual human rights for all.
