Rodney Dale Peterson, 62, of Gibson City passed away at 5:15 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

A visitation for family and friends will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Charleston with Pastor Jeremy Baier officiating.

Rodney was born March 28, 1961 in Charleston the son of Robert D. and Josephine B. Glosser Peterson.

He is survived by a son, Andrew Peterson; sister, Donna (late Donnie) Wright of Paxton, two brothers, Bob (Bobbi) Peterson of Paxton, Randy (Carol) Peterson of Omaha, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Nicholas Peterson.

Rodney graduated from Paxton Community High School. He worked as a driver for Illini Institutional Food Inc., Rantoul and a dairyman for Gritton Farms, Paxton.
