Roger Cecil Adkins, 74, of Paxton died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2017, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton with Pastor Levi Deatrick officiating. A private family burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be three hours prior to the service from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, at the funeral home.

Roger was born December 20, 1943 in Bloomington the son of Cecil and Wilma June Miller Adkins. He married Margo Campbell on December 29, 1965. She survives.

Along with his wife, Margo, he is survived by three sons, Roger "Joe" (Chrystal) Adkins, Jr. of Salyersville, Kentucky, Mike Adkins of Paxton, Rick (Shannon) Adkins of Paxton; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three sisters, Vicki Adkins, Joyce (Bill) Frye and Janis Green, all of Paxton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Adkins; two brothers, Steve and Greg Adkins and a nephew, Troy Adkins.

Roger was self employed as a finisher and brick mason and former member of the Plasterers & Cement Masons, Local 143, Champaign. He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially football.
