Ronald Alfred Weber, 87 of Buckley, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. J.  Kevin Wyckoff officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley with military honors accorded by the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Ron was born December 4, 1935, in Paxton the son of Alfred and Marie Boness Weber.  He married Tomola May Dodd May 18, 1957, at the home of his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Tomola, one son Scott (Kristine) Weber of Buckley; two daughters, Kim (Steve) Royal of Dana, Indiana, Kathy (Chris) Hustedt of Paxton; a sister Suzanne (Don) Burkland of Paxton; 5 grandchildren Jackie (Danny) Masco, Jamie (Paige) Weber, Kaitlyn (Reese) Snider, Nick (Montana) Royal, Jennifer Hustedt; 11 great grandchildren Ava, Rylee, Faith, Alaina, Emma, Hudson, Crew, Rinley, Hickson, McCoy and Colsie May.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roger Weber and one grandson, Jonathan Weber Hustedt.

Ron attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Buckley-Loda High School.  He served in the United States Army 1956-58 as a Missile Control Panel Operator.  Ron was a proud lifelong farmer and loved every part of farming.  He also raised feeder cattle and hogs for many years.

He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served as a church elder.  He was on the Board of Directors of the Buckley Elevator and a member of the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.

He was a Buckley Dutchmasters and Chicago Cubs fan.  He enjoyed riding around the country looking at crops, attending farm shows and maintaining his farm equipment.  He especially loved spending time with his family and many, many friends.
