Ronald L. Williams, 72 of Roberts passed away at 4:37 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020, at his home.

Private funeral services will be held at Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 3, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E. Lincoln Street, Buckley. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed; please bring your mask.

Ron was born September 21, 1947 the son of Robert and Maxine Rogers Williams. He married Cathy S. Meyer October 8, 1971 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Watseka. She survives.

Along with his wife Cathy, he is survived by a daughter, Amy (Sean) Mikeworth of Monrovia, Indiana; a son Tad (Amber) Williams of Paxton; nine grandchildren Seth, Sydney, Alex, Trinity, Jacob, Leah, Lauren, Ethan and Hayden; a sister, Natalie Evans of Milford, a brother Raymond (Joanne) Williams of Chicago and a nephew Mike Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two nieces.

Ron served in the United States Army. He worked at Hicksgas, Roberts for 20 years and then Baltimore Aircoil Company, Paxton until his retirement.

He enjoyed golfing and NASCAR and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Ron was able to fix anything and was a talented handyman.
