Ruth E. Shull, 93 of Savoy, died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Willowbrook of Savoy.

Private graveside services will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ruth was born December 7, 1924 in Rural Melvin the daughter of Tony and Edna T. Swanson Carlson. She married William J. Wisher and later married Maynard Shull on September 3, 1966 at Hope Lutheran Church, South of Rankin. Maynard preceded her in death on September 1, 1992.

She is survived by four children, John Edward Wisher of Cincinnati, Ohio, Toni Abel of Champaign, David James Wisher of Guam, Teresa McMahon of Wilmette; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Bonnie Nelson of Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Michelle Wisher; two sisters, Marjorie Clore and Lois Natterstad.

Ruth graduated from Melvin High School. She attended the Business School in Champaign and the University of Illinois. She was an accountant in the Ag Department at the University of Illinois and prior to retiring, she worked for Scott Weller Community Homes of Champaign for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church. Ruth enjoyed fishing, playing the piano and singing. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
