Sandra C. Snelling, 73 of Paxton, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Private graveside services will be held in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling services.

Sandra was born September 11, 1947 in Champaign the daughter of Earl and Bobbie Heck Taylor. She married Avery A. "Abe" Snelling, Sr. April 7, 1969 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Champaign. He preceded her in death May 1, 2011.

She is survived by one son, Avery (Jennifer) Snelling, Jr. of Paxton; three daughters Robyn Benear of Paxton, Angie (Tyler) Ecker of Buckley, Rhonda Heap of California; four grandchildren, Dustin and Nathan Benear and Kendra and Kayden Snelling and one sister, Dar Thurman of Chandler, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Sandra graduated from Champaign High School in 1965. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, camping and working on baseball card collections. But nothing meant more to her than spending time with her grandchildren.
