Selda Marie Coffey, 83, of Paxton passed away at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Selda was born November 20, 1934 in Loda Township the daughter of Richard and Rosie Ecker Luhrsen. She married Marshall C. Coffey May 11, 1957 in Buckley. He preceded her in death May 3, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Sandy) Coffey of Loda, Kevin (Liz) Coffey of Loda; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Grace of Paxton; two brothers, Marlin Luhrsen and Orville (Hilda) Luhrsen both of Buckley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Gary Coffey, two great grandchildren and two brothers Don Luhrsen and Chuck Luhrsen.

Selda was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Loda where she was very active over the years including being a member of the Ladies Aid.

She enjoyed working on word search puzzles and spending time with her family.
