Sharon "Shari" Eyre, 82, was born November 6, 1939 in Loda and passed away on June 11, 2022 in her home in Paxton.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger Kuester of Buckley and Jay Eyre of Paxton; her parents, Charles and Flodena "Dena" Page Weaver of Loda; her two brothers, Robert L. Weaver (Delores), Danny Ray Weaver; her two sisters, Edna Lee (Bill) and Marian Roisland (Orvin); and her step-son, Rick Kuester.

She is survived by her two brothers, Jerry (Erika) Weaver of Loda, Kenny (Pat) Weaver of Champaign; her step-daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Kyrouac of Paxton, Kathy Eyre, Kristen Fountain and Ashley (Patrick) Pierce; her grandson, Cale (Shauna) Kuester of Manhattan, IL; her granddaughter, Paige (Spenser) Seifert of Bloomington; four great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.

She spent many years working as a receptionist for Dr. Grove of Paxton and at Bork's Nursery in Onarga. As a young girl she was a car hop waitress at Ripley's Drive-In Restaurant and her brothers say she tried her dad's patience every day! Some of her nieces and nephews remember her taking them for a drive at over 100 mph in her silver XKE Jaguar convertible! She came by this honestly as she had grown up scheduling drag races between her brother, Jerry and anyone who dared to race him.

Sharon loved her Savior Jesus Christ with her whole heart and sought to honor Him in everything she did. Next to Jesus, she loved her family, playing Canasta, and growing a thriving garden, especially asparagus, which she shared freely.

Everyone who knew her loved her adventurous spirit, feisty personality, and contagious laugh. Sharon spread love wherever she went and made lifelong friends in many places. She will be greatly missed.

There will be a small, private ceremony for the family. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the benevolence fund at Loda United Methodist Church. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.baierfuneralservices.com.
