Obituary

Sharon E. Kinzinger, 67 of Buckley, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Paxton Church of Christ, 400 Ottawa Road, Paxton with Rev. Tom Anders officiating.  Burial will follow in Lyman Twp. Cemetery, Roberts.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Paxton Church of Christ.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Sharon was born April 28, 1954, in Fort Riley, Kansas the daughter of Sylvester Junior and Beverly Fosdick.  She married Randal L. Kinzinger on January 27, 1973.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Randy, she is survived by her mother, Beverly of Bloomington; two daughters, Angela (Davin) Smith of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tonia Kinzinger of Derby, KS; five grandchildren McKenna, Dalton and Harmon Smith; David and Alyssa Schroeder; two brothers, Harry (Lisa) Fosdick of Chenoa and Larry (Julie) Fosdick of Pontiac.  She also leaves behind special friends Cade Moritz, the Andy and Tawnya Werner family, the Nathan and Lindsay Davenport family and all the many Sunday School and Junior church kids that she taught throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Fosdick, Jr. and two brothers, Dale Fosdick and Timothy Fosdick.

Sharon was a true homemaker with the gift of hospitality.  She loved gardening, canning, crafting, sewing, decorating cakes and she worked with her husband on the family farm.  She truly enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home, but she was happiest when she was working with children.

Sharon enjoyed working as a teacher's aide in the Gilman-Danforth schools while her kids were young.  She loved teaching and spent her life sharing Christ with kids as a Sunday School teacher, Awana Commander and Junior church leader.
