Sharron Kay Flessner, 78 of Olympia Fields, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2024, at Farmer City Health Care.

A private graveside service will be held at Eden Park Cemetery, Rantoul with Rev. Scott Smith officiating.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville is handling arrangements.

Sharron was born October 15, 1945, in Champaign, the daughter of Meenke F. "Mike" and Ellen Jeannette Dahl Flessner.

She is survived by two nieces, Jill (Jay Scott) Flessner of Champaign, Jan (Andrew) Troutt of Champaign and a great niece, Anna Troutt of Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James F. Flessner and her beloved dog, Wrigley.

Sharron graduated from Rantoul Twp. High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in education.  She taught second grade at Balmoral Elementary School, Crete until retirement.  After retirement she continued to home school students.

She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed the theatre.
