Shirley Ann Barganier, 87, of Paxton passed away at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

There will be no services at this time. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley was born July 12, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Henry and Frances Arnold Morgan. She married John Terrell in 1952. She later married Jerry Barganier in 2004. He preceded her in death December 18, 2016.

She is survived by one daughter, Teri (Bruce) Watt of Bayles Lake; three sons, John (Nancy) Terrell of Manhattan, IL, Jim (Cindy) Terrell of Tucson, Arizona, Bill (Beth) Terrell of Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda McCullom of Ocala, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry Barganier and four brothers.

Shirley spent her childhood in Missouri. She lived in Tinley Park, Illinois for more than 40 years and worked in Chicago at the Masonite Corporation. In 2005 she moved to Cassville, Missouri where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cassville and enjoyed going on church mission trips. She loved Jesus and loved others. She loved to cook and there was always a seat for strangers at her table. Shirley made herself available to serve and volunteer. She had the kindest words to say but never held back the hard truth to set your path straight. Even in her last days she expressed gratitude. Shirley was an exemplary model of how Jesus wants us to treat others. She will be deeply missed.
