Shirley Ann Huddleston, 90 of Rantoul, passed away at 12:28 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Robert Freeman officiating.  Burial will follow in Ludlow Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Shirley was born June 30, 1933, in Melvin, Iowa the daughter of Joseph A. and Carrie L. Dickman Huck.  She married Dallis Huddleston July 9, 1954, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  He preceded her in death July 15, 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Jo Huddleston of Rantoul, Melinda "Sam" Klaus of Mahomet; one son, Bruce Allen (Nancy) Huddleston of Decatur; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Visser and Evelyn McCarthy both of Sioux City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, one sister and a son-in-law, Larry Klaus.

Shirley graduated from Sheldon High School, Sheldon, Iowa in 1951.  She moved to Ludlow in 1964.

She was a former member of the Ludlow Methodist Church and the Ludlow Methodist Women.  Shirley enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting.
