Susan Eileen Slaughter, 58 of Paxton, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at her home.

Private family services were held at Hudson Township Cemetery. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton assisted the family with arrangements.

Susan was born May 22, 1962 in Bloomington the daughter of Willis Earl and Doris May Sparks Slaughter, Sr. She graduated from Normal Community High School in 1980 and from the University of Cosmetology in 1980. Susan retired from Kroger in 2005.

She is survived by an exceptional caregiver and the love of her life, Brian Conklin; three brothers Will Slaughter of Bloomington, Terry Slaughter of Danvers, Bill and Mary Slaughter of El Paso; 12 nieces and nephews, 29 or so great nieces and nephews, some great-great nieces and nephews, friends of around 40 years, Steve and Sharon Quiram of Hudson and her 6 fur babies.
