Theodore "Ted"  Reynolds, 91 of Paxton, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at First Lutheran Church, 301 S. College, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton and at the church on Saturday one hour before the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Ted was born September 4, 1933, in Bellville the son of Lyle and Elizabeth Harper Reynolds.  He married Charlene Theesfeld November 24, 1956, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley.  She survives.

Along with his wife, Charlene, he is survived by a daughter, Susan (Kevin) Hanson of Rankin; three sons, Mike (Chris) Reynolds of Paxton, Greg (Charles Parmenter) Reynolds of Mobile, Alabama, Steve (Marcia Womack) Reynolds of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Chris Hanson, Nick (Jessica) Hanson, Heidi (Kent Stevenson) Hanson, Tony Reynolds, Nikki (Leroy) Rutledge, Ashlee Reynolds, Jordan (Jacob)  Osgood, Tyler Reynolds; step grandchildren Breck Sphar, Mallory Sphar; great grandchildren, Joel Carmona, Noah (Michaela) Hanson, Morgan Hanson, Gavyn Shinker, Emma Shinker, Kendon Hanson, Adrian Reynolds, Keegan Hanson, Zani Hanson, Quinn Depew; step great grandchildren Kylee Overton, Kailyn Overton, Charlize Rutledge, Brett Rutledge; great-great granddaughter, Ryley Hanson; niece, Twila (Bill) Day, nephew, Tod (Robin) Harrison and many loved  grand dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Harrison.

Ted was a self-employed mechanic and had owned and operated Ted's Texaco and later the Conoco Station in Paxton.  He also drove a semitruck for a number of years.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Paxton and the Illinois Federation Retractable Club, traveling all over the country with the club.  He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, working on cars and participating in the Paxton July 4th car show in Pells Park.  He loved spending time with his family, attending his grandchildren's events and going out to eat afterwards.
