Thomas Craig "Tom" Schuldt, 62 of Buckley, died at 2:03 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020, St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.

Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be from 2-5:00 p.m. Saturday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E. Lincoln Street, Buckley.

Tom was born June 5, 1957 in Watseka the son of Arnold and Geraldine Lessman Schuldt. He married Julie Dippel June 30, 1984 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. She survives.

Along with his wife, Julie, he is survived by a daughter, Nikki (Tom) Coleman of Brownsburg, Indiana; a son, Matthew (Abby) Schuldt of Urbana; three grandchildren, Carter Coleman, Harper and Haisley Schuldt; his mother, Geraldine Schuldt of Danforth; two brothers, Terry (Barb) Schuldt of Buckley, Tim Schuldt of Buckley; mother-in-law, Verda Dippel of Buckley; brother-in-law, Les (Lisa) Dippel of Buckley and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Tom graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1975; he then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University. Tom worked at the Buckley State Bank for 38 years and retired as bank president.

He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and a school board member and trustee of the church and school. He was also a member of the Buckley Lions Club, Buckley Sportsmen's Club, Buckley Golf League and Son's of American Legion. Tom was a board member of the Buckley Youth League, Artesia Township Supervisor and a member of the Buckley State Bank Board of Directors.

Tom was an avid Chicago Cubs, Buckley Dutchmaster and Illini fan. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and coaching boys' basketball and baseball. But nothing meant more to him than spending time with family and friends.
