Verda O. Dippel, 93 of Buckley, died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth.
Private family funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday, November 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Buckley. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.
Verda was born July 3, 1927, in Artesia Township, Buckley the daughter of Walter and Emma Bleich Krumwiede. She married Glenn William Dippel September 24, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He preceded her in death March 9, 1984.
She is survived by one son, Leslie Allen (Lisa) Dippel of Buckley; one daughter Julie Kay Schuldt of Buckley; three grandchildren Nicole (Tom) Coleman, Matthew (Abby) Schuldt, Alexis Dippel and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law, Thomas Schuldt.
Verda graduated from Buckley High School in 1945. She was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and was a member of the Ladies Aid, Historical Committee and Altar Guild. Verda believed in providing sound Christian training for children and supported the Buckley Lutheran Schools.
She enjoyed playing cards and baseball and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
