Virginia P. Tobeck, 79, of Bayles Lake, Loda passed away at 8:08 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her home.

A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E Lincoln, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St John's Cemetery, Buckley.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Virginia was born August 3, 1938 in Watseka the daughter of Russell and Verna Henneinke Ward. She married Ronald R. Tobeck December 13, 1958 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He preceded her in death December 13, 1983.

She is survived by two sons, John (Gina) Tobeck of Wylie, TX, Jeff (Terri) Tobeck of Lisle; three grandchildren, Ashlie (Andrew) Seely of Batesville, AR, Tia (Charlie) Prather of Champaign, Mathew Tobeck of Josephine, TX; two great grandchildren, Astrid and Augustus Seely; and one sister, Sharon (Ron) Huskins of Highland Village, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son James Gregory Tobeck.

Virginia spent her childhood on the Buckley farm and graduated from Buckley High School. She had worked at the Paxton Record and True Value in Rantoul.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. Virginia was a past member of the Loda Lions Club, a former election judge and had helped with different functions for the Loda Fire Department.

She was known for being an avid reader. She enjoyed needlepoint, baking, and spending time with her family.
