Wayne W. Weber, 90 of Buckley, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley with military honors accorded by the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.

Visitation will be two hours before the service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – l2:00 p.m. also at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Wayne was born April 15, 1936, in rural Buckley the son of Walter and Lena Kaufmann Weber.  He married Marilyn M. Ostrand August 9, 1958, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Bainbridge Island, Washington.  She preceded him in death October 28, 2019.

He is survived by a son, Brian "Nutz" (Diane "Rose") Weber of Diamond Head, MS, a daughter, Gail (Jerry) Tobeck of Buckley; two grandsons, Corey (Sarah) Tobeck of Wheaton, Blake (Jodee) Tobeck of Huntley; five great grandchildren, Samantha, Benjamin, Avery, Kodie and Kamden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, Edna Ecker, Clarence Weber, Gladys Weppler, Mil Schuldt and Norma Hofer.

Wayne graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1955.  He served in the United States Army for two years and was stationed on Bainbridge Island, Washington.  Wayne was a farmer and had an A. O. Smith Harvestore shop in Buckley for more than 25 years.  He also raised rabbits for many years and everyone in the area was familiar with "Wayne's Wabbits".

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley where he served as an Elder and the Buckley American Legion Byron A. Hickerson Post 432.  Wayne had been a Little League coach and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Illini fan.  He enjoyed his greenhouse and gardening.
