William Perry Parsons, 74, of Paxton passed away at 9:17 a.m. Thursday, November 23, 2017, at his home.


There will be no services; cremation rites will be accorded. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Perry was born January 22, 1943 in Champaign County the son of Charles Albert and Mildred Ruth Josephine Johnson Finfrock Parsons. He graduated from Paxton High School in 1961 and was an Iron Worker for Local Union #380 in Urbana for 50 years.

He is survived by one sister, Edith Reynolds of Gifford; one brother, Martin (Bertha) Parsons of Hoopeston; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Carmen Storm.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Troy Brian Parsons; three brothers and three sisters.

Perry enjoyed woodcarving and painting acrylic pictures of Paxton's historic past.
