Royce Baier
Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer
Royce grew up working in the funeral business with his parents, Maurie and Millie Baier. He graduated from Paxton High School in 1971. He received his Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He also received his Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Administration Management with a Minor in Marketing.

Sheila Baier
Office Manager
Sheila grew up on a family farm in the Flatville area. She attended Flatville Grade School and graduated from Rantoul Twp. High School. After her marriage to Royce, she became office manager of the Ford-Baier Funeral Home and Ambulance Service and continues to manage the office for the business. Royce and Sheila have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joel Baier and Jeremy and Kelsey Baier, and three grandchildren, Thea, Lane, and Cal.

Rachel Albers
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Rachel graduated from Iroquois West High School in Gilman, Illinois with the class of 2000. Before attending college, she worked with her family in their burial vault business. She obtained her Associate in Applied Science in Mortuary Science from Carl Sandburg College in 2005. She served her apprenticeship at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman and later moved to Rockford to work for a larger firm for four years. In her spare time she enjoys reading, quilting and spending time with her friends and family. We are pleased to welcome Rachel to the staff of Baier Family Funeral Services.
